RoamDome is excited to announce its sponsorship of the raffle at the Leicester Universtiy First Responder event on September 28th, 2024.

 

LUCFR is a volunteer Leicester CFR scheme based within the city centre area, which has been started to reduce the time taken for life-saving treatment to be initiated for local people suffering from medical emergencies such as cardiac arrests, convulsions and unconsciousness. The volunteers of the scheme are students, staff, and alumni of the University of Leicester and De Montfort University, who are trained to respond by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) NHS Trust.

The scheme was established in 2018 by two like-minded University of Leicester medical students, Dr Stuart Evans and Dr Kieran Duignan, after both deciding that they wanted to give something back to the community. The scheme has continued to provide their life-saving work following their graduation and it is hoped that it will continue to go from strength to strength for years to come!
